Intellivision Lives!

Christmas is coming and so is the resurgence of the old, classic Intellivision games. Intellivision Lives! is a compilation of sixty classic Intellivision games that retro gamers fell in love with thirty years ago. While the gaming group is already available for units such as the iPad, iPhone, PS2 and the Xbox 360, it is slated for release on the new Nintendo DS for the holiday season of 2010.

The Nintendo DS, a simplex handheld gaming system, seemed like a perfect venue for classic games. The titles included on Intellevision Lives! include all classic genres, ranging from sports and arcade to board games and strategy titles. Some of the more notable games in the package include Astrosmash, B-17 Bomber, and Sub Hunt. True retro lovers don’t have to worry about these classics being undermined by modern graphics and technology. Technology has come a long way, but the Intellivision look is still alive and blocky with this package. Find out more about Intellivision’s history here.
