One of the very first consoles that comes to mind when people think of classic gaming is the good, old Nintendo. While other consoles are older and “more classic”, few were as popular and well-known by multiple generations. Perhaps that is why Nintendo is bringing back the classic Mario games and making them available for the modern Wii gaming system. The game, slated for release on December 12, 2010, offers about a $30 price tag and features multiple games.
The Super Mario Brothers All Stars Limited Edition, available while supplies last, will feature old games such as Super Mario Bros., Super Mario Bros. 2, Super Mario Bros. 3, and Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels. It also comes with an audio CD which features memorable music and sounds from the classic gaming franchise.
The compilation CD’s release is part of an ongoing celebration of Nintendo’s “25 years of Super Mario Bros.” celebration, kicking off November 7, 2010. Read more about this new old Wii game here.
