When a person, gamer or otherwise, takes to the streets of Los Angeles, he or she really doesn’t know what is to be seen until it is actually seen. Sometimes, retro gamers get a rare and humorous surprise if they look hard enough.
This series of street pictures portrays several impromptu candids, as well as some great bits of advertising that can be seen around town. It is fun to think how video gaming can effect the daily lives of so many. How many of the nearly four million people residing in this huge town recognized the old DOS version of the Oregon Trail in a multiple choice flyer for crossing a busy street. The ultra classic phrase “You have died of dysentery” may not be amusing to all (don’t take choice #3).
