Similar to Hyperkin’s SupaBoy, the portable SNES, there is a new portable Dreamcast in the works. Pachimon TV, a Japanese company, is manufacturing this new handheld, which will play all the games from the 1998 home video gaming console by SEGA.
This is not a SEGA licensed product, and it does require some tweaking and improving. For example, the disc fits into an area on the bottom of the screen, but currently offers no cover. Since the system is held like a Dreamcast controller, this could create a problem for over-enthusiastic gamers or those with large hands.
The projected price tag on this prospective machine is close to $500. That’s more than twice its original asking price on 9/9/1999.
