Blizzard’s first installment in the Diablo franchise is a best-selling classic on the PC. Released late in 1996, this title spawned a sequel, several expansion packs and a third Diablo is currently in the making. All releases have been hot, even earning Game of the Year honors in 1998. Little did we know that it was all made possible by a group of selfish people in the town of Tristram.
In this video by Dorkly, we learn exactly why the good warriors from the game had to fight the forces of hell. Turns out it revolves around the non-playing characters, such as Farnham the drunk and Griswold the blacksmith. Most of the characters are accounted for in this clever skit. Someone, however, needs to tell Deckard Cain that his fountain just wasn’t that cool.
