Linkmasta

Under development as this article is being read is the Neo Geo Pocket Linkmasta. In the original days of the Neo Geo Pocket, a flash card was released by Bung. These devices are now hard to find, but fans of the Neo Geo Pocket may want to start a search. The Linkmasta, as it stands, will need one to run. However, the team behind Linkmasta is hoping to develop their own flash cards to accompany their funky USB cartridge reader/writer once the Linkmasta goes live.

The Linkmasta is a USB linker that will have the capabilities of writing to the Neo Geo Pocket flash cards and it will also be able to back up original cartridges in ROM format. With such a small available library of Neo Geo hits, this device will help SNK fans to find those hard-to-find titles in the previously unhandy ROM format and play away with the original device in hand…literally.

Read more about the pending Linkmasta here.

It seems that the flash cart (“Flashmasta”) is working.  It just needs a bit more time to develop.
