Canyon Bomber

ATGames has announced a green light for its “new old” home video gaming console, the Flashback 3. This device, similar to other that came before it, is a plug and play machine similar to the more modern versions of the SEGA Mega Drive.

The Flashback 3 is set to come pre-loaded with sixty classic Atari 2600 titles, which will include some of the greatest that were available in the early eighties. Asteroids, Centipede and Missile Command are some titles that will ring a bell from the coin operated arcades. Along with them come other Atari classics, such as Yars Revenge, Canyon Bomber and Battle Zone. All genre are covered, ranging from sports games to word games.

The Flashback 3 is due out by October of 2011 and has a projected price tag of around USD$50. It is designed to look like the original 2600 console, comes with two authentic joysticks, and even features a limited edition Atari poster. Read more about it here.
